Ingredients:
- 1 box H-E-B Deluxe Mac & Cheese Dinner (or your favorite boxed mac)
- ½ jar Hess Street Foods Abuela’s Original Chorizo Paste
- 1 lb ground meat (beef, pork, or turkey)
- 2–3 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
- ¼ white onion, finely chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chorizo
In a bowl, combine ½ jar of chorizo paste with 1 lb of ground meat. Mix well until evenly blended.
2. Cook the Chorizo
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the chorizo-meat mixture and cook until browned, crumbly, and slightly crispy (about 8–10 minutes). Set aside.
3. Make the Mac & Cheese
In a separate saucepan, cook the mac & cheese according to the box instructions. Drain the pasta and stir in the cheese sauce until smooth and creamy.
4. Combine & Infuse the Flavor
Add the cooked chorizo to the cheesy macaroni. Stir to combine and let the smoky flavors infuse every bite.
5. Garnish & Serve
Top with sliced green onions and chopped white onions for a fresh crunch. Serve warm.
