Abuela’s pastes are now a staple in my home. The blend of specific spices, peppers and vinegar add a degree of home feel of my upbringing in Mexico. When I cook with Abuela’s, everyone wants to know how I made it, again, because it gives a homemade feel and an extra layer of flavor and balance. People that do not come from a Latin culture want the recipe. This tells me that everyone should have Abuela’s in their home. I add it to so many things from my beans, roasted vegetables, meat, chicken sea food. In the world that we live in today where we can’t be in the kitchen all day this is an excellent addition. It’s healthy and simple but with lots of flavor .
I made an imitation of a dish sampled at HEB. Simmered precooked shredded chicken, green bell pepper, onion, orange zest, broth, orange juice, and Spanish chorizo paste. Absolutely delicious. Looking forward to using this wonderful Hess Street Foods' product in other dishes.
Hands down, this is the best chorizo paste I’ve ever had—unmatched flavor and quality!
Amazing - the jar is so convenient and easy for making chorizo! Other vegetarian chorizos tend to be very greasy or need adjustments, but this paste goes well with every meat substitute I've tried and is super easy to use
I love chorizo with eggs or beans, but most store-bought varieties are too greasy for my taste. I love this paste because I can add it to leaner meats and the flavor is incredible. I’ve also mixed it with sour cream for an amazing party dip, and with with olive oil for a tasty drizzle on hummus. I’m excited to see what I can do with the other flavors!
